On the evening of October 26th, 2012, the UltraGuard system was put to the test when a fire broke out in the resident’s home, caused by discarded smoking materials igniting nearby newspapers. The system activated within seconds, fully extinguishing the fire before the arrival of NFRS. As a result, the resident avoided any burns and suffered only minor smoke
inhalation, which was treated on-site by paramedics. The room was quickly dried out, and the UltraGuard unit was recharged, allowing the resident to safely return home just hours after the incident. This successful
intervention demonstrated the life-saving capability of the UltraGuard
system, reinforcing its value as a critical protective measure for vulnerable individuals.
