EA-RS successfully secured a challenging project that required a tailored
solution for storing equipment containing lithium-ion battery units.
Leveraging our extensive experience and expertise in fire engineering, we
meticulously assessed various options before collaborating with FirePro to
devise an optimal fire detection and suppression solution. Despite the
complexity posed by site restrictions and conditions, our swift turnaround,
completed within three months from design to installation and
commissioning, underscores our commitment to meeting client needs with
efficiency and precision.
The Project revolved around designing a bespoke storage solution for
lithium-ion battery units within the main facility. Li-Ion battery technology,
despite being constantly improved, still poses a significant fire hazard.
Following a comprehensive evaluation with the EA-RS design team, we
looked at various fire protection systems available and utilised a unique
solution tailored to the associated risks. Collaborating with FirePro, we
implemented FirePro’s LPCB-certified condensed aerosol technology,
chosen for its exceptional effectiveness and suitability. This solution not only ensured robust fire detection and suppression but also prioritised the safety and security of the storage facility. Throughout the project, FirePro UK provided invaluable technical support, further enhancing the seamless
delivery of our solution.
