Improving school safety, security and energy efficiency with modern external doors.
Bradford Council continually looks to upgrade windows and doors to
improve security and thermal efficiency within the local area. Upon
evaluation, it became evident that Bowling Park Primary School’s
security doors were beyond their economic life and had a plethora of
issues, such as dropped hinges, general wear and tear, and issues with
closing, creating an increased risk of security breaches or injury to
daily users. UK Fire & Security Doors (UKFSD) were appointed the
project through a recommendation from ISG, with who we have
previously worked alongside.
UKFSD worked alongside ISG and Bradford Council to survey the
premises and build a specification for the job in line with the
requirements of the site manager. By carrying out thorough site
surveys and consultation meetings on site, we were able to plan and
produce a full new set of external doors across the entire school which
vastly improved security, whilst also improving thermal performance,
and bringing the doors up to modern standards with escape
equipment and locking systems.
All works were carried out with great care and completed on time,
and the client was extremely happy with the result.
