EA-RS Team Raises £8,815 for Alzheimer’s Society Through 2026 Fundraising Efforts So Far

At EA-RS, supporting our communities is about more than the work we do every day.

Throughout 2026, colleagues from across the Group have been raising money and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society, our chosen Charity of the Year for 2026, through a series of fundraising events that have brought together teams from across the business.

As part of these efforts, colleagues have recently taken on the Alzheimer’s Society Trek26 Challenge, with teams completing events across the country, including a demanding 13-mile walk together in the Cotswolds during July.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of employees, customers, suppliers, friends and family, EA-RS has now raised over £8,815 for Alzheimer’s Society so far this year, in support of people affected by dementia.

Continuing a Year of Fundraising

The Trek26 challenge forms part of a wider programme of fundraising activities taking place throughout the year following EA-RS announcing Alzheimer’s Society as its 2026 Charity of the Year.

Earlier this year:

• Chief Revenue Officer Rob Croom completed the Brighton Marathon.
• The Surefire Sizzlers took on the Stonehenge Trek 26 event, completing the challenge as a team.
• Ian Williams completed the Trek26 London event.
• Jack Burt completed the full 26 mile Trek 26 challenge in Snowdonia.
• Colleagues across the Group have continued supporting fundraising initiatives in a variety of ways, helping raise both awareness and vital funds for the charity.

Each challenge has contributed towards a shared goal of supporting the life-changing work carried out by Alzheimer’s Society.

More Than Just a Walk

Although Trek26 is designed as a physical challenge, the events represented much more than simply covering the miles.

They provided an opportunity for colleagues from different areas of the business to come together, encourage one another and support a cause that has touched the lives of many people across our organisation.

Whether walking 13 miles through the Cotswolds, taking on the London route, completing the Stonehenge challenge or pushing themselves through the full 26-mile Snowdonia trek, every participant demonstrated determination, teamwork and resilience, qualities that reflect the values shared across EA-RS every day.

Most importantly, every mile walked helped generate greater awareness of dementia and the support available for individuals and families affected by the condition.

And as a further boost to fundraising efforts, Tindall’s Fabricators have supported the entire EA-RS team across all Trek26 events with a £1,000 charity t-shirt sponsorship.

Why Alzheimer’s Society?

Alzheimer’s Society was selected by our employees following nominations across the business and was chosen because of the meaningful impact it has on thousands of families throughout the UK.

The charity provides practical support, expert advice, funds pioneering dementia research and campaigns for better care and understanding for everyone affected by dementia.

Every donation helps ensure more people receive the support they need while contributing towards research that could transform lives in the future.
